The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) conducts the special round of seat allocation for the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs) in India. The special round is held to fill the vacant seats after the regular rounds of counseling are completed. This article provides detailed information about the CSAB Special Round 2023, including the seat allocation process, eligibility criteria, and important dates.
Students who were not allotted any seat in JoSAA or wish to upgrade their previously allotted seat in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs can participate in the CSAB Special rounds 2023. Students must register online to participate in the CSAB special rounds 2023 for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates with a valid JEE Main score will be considered for the special round CSAB 2023 for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
Registration for CSAB Special Round 2023:
Candidates must first register for the counselling process online to participate. Students can register using their JEE Main 2023 application number and password.
Candidates must upload their educational qualifications and category documents, where applicable. The applicant’s details will be taken from the JEE Main application form, and they must upload scanned images of documents only.
The following documents are required for candidates to participate in the counselling process:
- Class 10 Certificate
- Class 12 Marksheet
- Category certificate – Gen-EWS, OBC NCL, SC & ST candidates
- PwD certificate, if applicable in the prescribed format from a competent authority
- NRI candidates must upload a scanned image of their Passport
- OCI/PIO candidates must upload their OCI/PIO card
Candidates will also need to provide their bank account details and marks out of 500 in their 12th class exam.
Students must take utmost care while filling in the information in the CSAB special round registration 2023 as the information once submitted cannot be modified at later stages.
